Privacy policy

Cuddle Threads is a small embroidery business in Spring Hill, Tennessee. This page explains what information I collect when you visit cuddlethreadstn.com, place an order, contact me or leave a review, and how I use it. I only collect what I need to make and deliver your order, and I never sell your information.

Information I collect

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, the items you order and the personalization you enter (names, dates, font and thread choices, notes).
• Payment details: payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and is never seen or stored by this website or by me.
• Reviews: if you leave a review, I collect your name, rating, review text, any photos you upload, and your email address if you choose to give it. Your name, review and photos are shown publicly once approved; your email is never shown. Photos are re-saved when uploaded, which removes hidden location data.
• Accounts: if you create an account, I keep your email address and when you last signed in. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email; there is no password. Your account shows the orders placed with that email address.
• Messages: if you email me or use the contact form, I receive your name, email address and message.
• Basic technical information: like most websites, my hosting provider automatically records basic information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working.

How I use your information

• To make, personalize and ship your order, and to send order and shipping updates.
• To answer your questions and resolve any problems with your order.
• To show your review on the site (only after I approve it).
• To calculate sales tax and keep business and tax records as required by law.
• To prevent fraud and spam and keep the site secure.

I don't send marketing emails unless you've asked to receive them, and I don't use your information for advertising profiles.

Who I share it with

Only with the services needed to run the shop, and only what they need:

• Stripe, for payments, receipts and sales tax calculation.
• Resend, to send order confirmations, shipping updates and account sign-in links by email.
• Shipping services (such as Pirate Ship and USPS), which receive your name and shipping address to create your label and tracking.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores site data such as reviews and photos.
• Google, which provides the fonts on this site; your browser connects to Google to load them.

I may also share information if required by law. I never sell or rent your personal information.

Cookies and your cart

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to an account, one cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days (or until you sign out); it isn't used for anything else. Your shopping cart is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it's still there when you come back; you can clear it at any time by emptying your cart or clearing your browser data. Stripe may use cookies on its checkout page to process payments securely and prevent fraud.

How long I keep it

I keep order information as long as needed to fulfill your order and for tax and accounting records (typically up to 7 years). Reviews stay up until they're removed. You can ask me to delete your review or other information at any time, except records I'm required to keep by law.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I have about you, or ask me to remove your review. Just email me at cuddlethreadstn@gmail.com and I'll respond as soon as I can.

Children's privacy

My products are made for babies and children, but this website is meant for adults shopping for them. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The names and dates you enter for personalization are used only to make your order.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date.
